Im going to make this short and sweet. It has been a long time since I have felt motivation. Essena (O'Neill) and her new site have truly moved me and made me question: am I living the life I want to live?
                                   Essena O'Neill

It has not been an easy few months for me. I thought I had made the right decision in starting college, but realising how unhappy I have been has made me question everything...

We are so consumed by what others want for us and what everyone else is doing that our vision of what we truly want becomes clouded. Do what feels right in your heart and soul.

                   Peace out

My 5 Favourite Vegan Youtubers!

So there are many vegan youtubers and these are just a few of the ones I am subscribed to...

Some have been the ones who helped me become/decide to become vegan, some are ones whom I get recipie videos from and some are ones who I simply love!

In no particular order, here we go!!

TOP 15 HEALTHY PACKAGED VEGAN SNACKS ❤️❤️❤️ new vid 😜😜😜 this is making me extremely hungry… Ahhh (Ps Bae just arrived…. @bonnyrebecca 😁😁😁)
Essena is an aussie blogger/model with over 200,000 subs on Youtube!

She has LOTS of "what I eat in a day" videos which are very helpful and make you hungry haha

She also has a 'live on a dollar a day' video which shows how AMAZINGLY CHEAP EATING VEGAN CAN BE!!!

Last night felt like magic 🍒

Essena has recently been doing a 'get healthy with me' vlog series in which she discusses physical and emotional health, it is super interesting and motivating!

I highly recommend you check her out if you haven't already!

Emy is a french blogger/student living in Paris. Her channel has over 66,000 subs

Although her channels main focus isn't on veganism there is still lots of vegan videos to be seen!

She speaks mostly in English on her channel but sometimes French and Japanese! She has some videos about languages and her travels if that interests you.

She talks about issues such as feminism, body image, sexuality, gender and she also has lots of advice videos!

Hi! I'm Emy!  Please check her channel out!

Anji and Ryan are a vegan, Southern Californian couple in their 40s. Their channel has over 65,000 subs! They are perfect examples of how a vegan diet is healhtier than a vegetarian diet, they have made many videos about their diet/health/lifestyle before becoming HCLF(high carb low fat) vegans.

They have TONS of recipie and food shopping videos which dominate the channel, however they also make videos on current relevant vegan issues, controversial topics about veganism and lots of information about a vegan lifestyle apart from diet!

They are simply the loveliest warmest people.

Emily is a 20 year old Canadian/middle-eastern vegan youtuber with over 19,000 subs, who's family has a hobby farm! A hobby farm is
basically a farm where they do not profit from the animals, they keep and feed the animals, and do not take from them. I am so  jealous she grew up peacefully with animals.

She mainly makes recipie/'what i eat in a day' videos. She has started doing daily vlogs which I really enjoy, she recently moved to Toronto and works in a vegan and gluten free restaurant, which I am also very jealous of!

UNISEX Friends Not Food Vegan/Vegetarian T-shirt

Emily has/had Grave's disease and in the past cured her disease by eating raw, she has made videos about it if you want to know more,

I also relate to Emily on many levels. She openly speaks about her eating disorders and she really does make me so much more comfortable with myself.

Emily also has an etsy shop with cute vegan tshirts and badges for sale quite cheap! go check it out!>>

forever playing in the trees…   Kalel is am American passionate vegan youtuber/designer, with a HUGE audience she has over 1,790,000 subs!

Kalel's channel was originally a daily vlog channel she and her ex-boyfriend shared. They became vegetarian, then vegan and along the way spoke openly about/promoted their lifestyle to a wide and young audience.

Since their break-up, Kalel has kept the channel and changed it to a personal channel where she does lifestyle, clothing, travel, vegan/recipe videos.

Now, I would like to say a bit about how Kalel has affected me personally. I started watching her channel when she had just become vegetarian. At the time, I was on-and-off vegetarian, struggling.           Kalel's videos showed me why and how I should live cruelty free. Kalel is the only other person whom I feel loves animals as much as me(she has cats, I have a cat...) so when she made a heart-breaking video on the animal industry and her emotions. I remember how horrified I was.

Kalel's daily vlogs really gave me an insight into a vegan diet and how diverse and amazing it is. I really believe that if it weren't for her, I would have not become vegan till later in my life.

She's also hilarious, if you need more incentive!

And that concludes my favourites!

I of course watch many other vegan youtubers, but I just wanted to write about a few!

Thank you for reading, I hope you found some new people to find inspiration/advice from!

Summer 2015, Budapest

Hey!

So early 2015 basically consisted of stressing about the upcoming final exams in June.

exam season is the worst!

I turned 18 on the second day of the exams...

Evidently I couldn't really celebrate...

It was also my mom's birthday just when I finished,
so after my exams my parents and I went to Budapest for a week!

Matthias Chruch

Fishermen's Bastion

On the first day it was overcast, but still warm

We visited the  citadel on Buda side, the buildings were so beautiful! It was strange being in a
country where I understood virtually nothing being said!

The next day we went to the market on Fovam tér(square), where you can get really cheap fruit and vegetables, vegan heaven!

I got an avocado and a box of strawberries for my lunch and they were so juicy and ripe!

St. Stephen's Cathedral

We went to an open-air live screening of an awards gala in the opera.

We relaxed there after a day of walking around, hopping on trams and buses!

The next day was so much hotter!

We went to Buda Castle and the view from the Funicular was amazing!

We could see Parliament and all of Pest side
from there!
National Gallery (and my mom)

Buda Castle from the bridge

After much deciding, my mum had suggested we go
to Sventendre, an old Mediterranean-style village, which was just outside Budapest.

We got a train straight there from the city.
It is a place with an interesting story. Apparently years ago migrants fled from eastern/southern Europe and settled here, hence the old, southern style of architecture.

There is many churches and also a Synagogue or two. And its a small village! So obviously the migrants were of diverse religions and backgrounds

Our other days were spent exploring the city, including spending a day on Margaret Island(my mum was delighted as her name is Margaret!), which has swimming pools and beautiful botanical gardens. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of our day there!

With regards being vegan, Budapest was amazing!  IWe ate at vegan places most days, it was so nice! There is many falafel places all over the city. Food is very cheap in general, but the vegan places were especially inexpensive! I recall a meal for 3 being 12euro one night

It was very sad leaving Budapest, the week went so fast...
I will definitely be returnng to this city in the future, I hope to spend much longer there.
